I am a PhD Student in Political Theory in the Department of Government at Cornell University. My research explores the role of perception in shaping political worldviews in immigrant and diasporic communities. My dissertation focuses on the Hong Kong diaspora in the US, and explores how people’s embodied experience is constitutive of the ways they practice and imagine democracy.
To date, my work has been supported by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, the PRICE initiative, and the Cornell Graduate School.
Prior to my PhD studies at Cornell, I worked in museum education at the M+ Museum of Visual Culture and Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Art in Hong Kong, specializing in exhibition interpretation and public programming for adult, family, and school audiences. I hold a MA in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research, and a BA in Studio Art and Philosophy from Carleton College.
